Information collected through the contact form

When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, organisation (if given), topic and message you provide. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry. It is not used for marketing and is not sold or shared with any third party, other than the service provider below that processes the form submission on our behalf.

The form is handled by our hosting provider, Netlify, acting as a data processor. Netlify stores submissions securely so they can be delivered to us; it does not use the content of your submission for its own purposes. If you email us directly at barry@barryjogorman.com, the same principle applies: your message is used only to respond to you.

Analytics

This site uses Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not track visitors across websites. It reports aggregate, anonymous statistics such as page views and general location by country. Because no personal data or cookies are involved, this site does not need a cookie consent banner.

Hosting and technical information

Like any website, ours generates standard technical logs through Netlify, our hosting provider. These may include IP addresses and browser information, used only for security, troubleshooting and keeping the site running reliably. They are not used to identify individual visitors for any other purpose.

Legal basis and retention

We process contact form and email information on the basis of legitimate interest, to respond to enquiries about our services, or consent, where you have chosen to contact us. Information is kept only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and to maintain reasonable business records, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted and to object to how it is used. Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Plausible analytics described above is cookieless. A functional cookie may be set only where strictly necessary for the site to work correctly.
